Working here is your opportunity to shape an industry that’s vital to us all.Position Overview:Our Distribution Center is looking for a dynamic and motivated Lead Material Handler to join our team. This is a fantastic chance to work for a company that has the rare mix of being a fun, yet high-paced and professional work environment.Assist the management team in the nightly operations of the warehouse.Leading a team of associates in the warehouse responsible for performing the physical tasks of picking and processing pharmaceutical product and supplies.Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessaryMay use (but not limited to) power equipment such as a forklift, hand tools, and other devices operated in a warehouse environmentGives work direction, resolves problems, and seats deadline to ensure timely completion of work.Experience working in a cold area.Assist in other areas in the warehouse as needed.Minimum Qualifications:Typically requires 5+ year(s) of related experience. Additional Skills and Qualifications5 years of work experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred. A minimum of 6 months of McKesson experience is required for internal employeesLeadership skills, including coaching and fostering engagement and collaboration across cross-functional departmentsStrong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).Power Equipment is preferred. Location is willing to train those willing to learn, but, must be able to maintain certifications once trained.Exposure/experience with Accumax, RF preferredMust have a positive attitude, be quality driven, organized, punctual, committed, self-motivated and have an excellent attendance recordAttention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality; self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong adherence to established procedures and safety protocols; comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environmentPhysical Demands (may include all or some of the following, some only on occasion): General office demandsMust be comfortable working at heightsMust be comfortable working in refrigerated areas when requiredAbility to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift) Ability to lift 20-50 pounds repetitively throughout the course of a shift without assistance; ability to lift greater weights in a team lift (weight varies based on product)  May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.Visual acuity to see and read fine prints.
