In this role, you will perform engineering support activities including hands on construction and testing for the development of new or modified components or products and troubleshoot electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently. This position is onsite at our Advanced Development and Engineering facility in New Freedom, PA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility, as relocation is not available for this position. How you will do it Pfrovide technical support to and communication among the Prototype Build and Test team to assist in efficient execution of building and testing Variable Speed Drives and associated test fixtures.Design fabricate or arrange for fabrication and testing of parts, components and sub-systemsCollect and analyze data, e.g., test data, cost dataPrepare complex and non-standard sketches and drawings and prepare design documentsReview and mark drawings to support drafting and design documentsPerform routine system and component calculations, selections and write specificationsCoordinate between customers and other departments to design, build and test component systemsTroubleshoot nonconforming systems and components for manufacturing, service, test lab, etc and make recommendationsPerform tests and write test proceduresProvide and exchange technical information to vendors, customers and inspectors for assigned products and componentsOrder, receive, and deliver equipment and information using company proceduresWhat you will needRequired AS degree in engineering science (EE, EET preferred)2+ years direct work experience with electronic instrumentation, including DVMs, power analyzers and oscilloscopesExperience working with three phase power from 380V to 600V.Experience troubleshooting basic electronic circuitsExperience using various hand tools for fabrication of electronic/power assemblies and subassembliesExperience using various hand crimp tools for fabrication of wire harnesses is preferredExperience soldering and removing both thru-hole and surface mount components at PCB levelUS Citizen and/or Permanent Resident of the US. Sponsorship is not available for this position. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $50,000 - $70,000 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
