DescriptionThis position is available to be filled at any Huntington Corporate office location (see location options on posting)SummaryWe are seeking a Sr. Principal Enterprise Solution Architect to design strategic solutions for our portfolio of corporate applications. As a member of a solution architecture team, you will partner with experience owners and work with product development teams to design and implement architecture that enables quality of highly integrated applications. You will be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional scrum team, aligned with one or more product workstreams to develop and deliver digital solutions that push the limits of continuous improvement and innovation of our technology stack. The Sr. Principal Enterprise Solution Architect will also work with business and IT leadership to develop and maintain product-level roadmaps supporting business and technology strategies.Primary ResponsibilitiesFacilitate adherence to architecture standards and patternsOversee architecture at a program level initiativeDefine non-functional requirements to ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainabilityPartner with the business to identify operational and financial efficienciesAnalyze high-level functional requirements defined by the businessProvide direction and clarity for Application ArchitectsDesign system integration patternsProvide oversight, governance, and support for federated architectureEnsure Application Architects are in alignment with solutionsIdentify technical constraintsIdentify technical debt and recommend paths to resolutionInfluence technology and vendor decisions Secondary ResponsibilitiesDesign and evaluate proofs of concept and prototypesPeriodic analysis and refresh of architecture standards and patternsProvide support for target state architecture designsConsult for technology roadmapsPrimarily Works WithBusiness partners Product Managers Chief Segment Architects, Enterprise Architects, Other Enterprise Solution Architects, Application ArchitectsDeliverablesConceptual and/or logical architecture solutions for high level initiatives, incorporating remediation of technical debt when possibleUse cases and examples to showcase architecture standards and patternsProposals for new/updated standards and patternsNon-functional requirement definitionsBasic Qualifications5+ years of professional experience in IT preferably as an architect.Bachelors Degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience.5+ years of experience working as Solution Architect across multiple domains of architecture. (i.e. business, technology, data, application, and infrastructure)Preferred Qualifications7+ years of professional experience in IT preferably as an architect. Understanding of general architecture principlesAbility to apply architecture principles to Agile and Waterfall deliveryProven ability to provide architecture direction on small to large sized project/initiativesStrong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skillsStrong oral and written communications skillsBanking industry experience, including regulation and riskExperience working in Agile/ScrumExperience with SDLC, waterfall and agile delivery; DevOps and testing includingExperience with Cloud solution enablementExperience working with SOA, microservices, and modern web application frameworksHigh level of professionalism and confidence with the ability to build credibility as a trusted advisor with leadership, team members, and business partnersAbility to problem-solve, plan, scope, and provide estimates for work effort, producing quality deliverables on time and on budgetKnowledge of ArchiMate Enterprise Architecture Modeling LanguageUnderstanding of Cloud technologiesSoft skills training or experience, participation in architecture-related courses or workshops, peer mentoringExperience with TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworksUnderstanding of software development lifecycleExempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)YesWorkplace Type:OfficeOur Approach to Office Workplace TypeCertain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Specific work arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.Compensation Range:$93,000 - $189,000 Annual SalaryThe compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
