Role Specific InformationJob DescriptionAbout the RoleAs Manager, Merchandise Strategy & Transformation, you are responsible for managing merchandising strategy and transformation initiatives that support Kohl's growth objectives and business priorities. You will lead assigned workstreams by translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, delivering data-driven insights, coordinating cross-functional partners, and ensuring successful execution. Through strong project leadership and collaboration across Merchandising, Planning, Technology, Finance, and Operations, you help implement new capabilities and processes that improve efficiency, drive business performance, and support the evolution of the merchandising organization.What You’ll DoSupport execution of merchandising strategy and transformation initiatives through ownership of defined workstreams, project plans, and analysesPartner cross-functionally to drive execution against roadmap milestones, deliverables, and operational prioritiesDevelop insights, reporting, and recommendations that support strategic decision-making and initiative performanceCoordinate stakeholder communication, meeting cadences, and follow-up actions to ensure successful initiative executionLead implementation of new processes, tools, and ways of working within assigned functional areasIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and execution within assigned initiativesManage execution of assigned transformation workstreams, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder needs are metSupport project management activities including workplans, status reporting, risk tracking, and meeting facilitationPartner with business and technology teams to support implementation and adoption activitiesGather stakeholder feedback and identify process improvement opportunities within assigned areasEscalate risks, blockers, and dependencies to leadership as appropriateMeasure and monitor initiative success through defined business, operational, and adoption metrics, adjusting plans as needed to achieve intended outcomes.Additional tasks may be assigned as necessaryWhat Skills You HaveRequired7+ years of experience across Merchandising, Planning, Operations, Digital, Strategy or a similar experienceFirm understanding of end to end Merchant processes, tools and responsibilities. Strategic vision with ability to manage through ambiguity & recommend approachIn-depth knowledge of retail industry trends and emerging technologies, Strong analytical strength and ability to translate insights into actionAction-oriented change advocate; ability to guide teams and leaders through ambiguity Strong communicator who can drive alignment with executives without direct authority to gain alignment, mobilizes teams, and who is able to simplify complexitiesCurious, self-starter, innovative mindset, & ability to structure problems to reach goalsSolutions-oriented thought leaderThis role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI.
