You’ll also have access to:Career development with an international company where you can grow the career you dream of.Employees can qualify for free medical coverage in our Health Investment Plan (HIP) PPO medical plan in the next calendar yearAn excellent retirement savings plan with a high employer contributionTuition reimbursement, the Freedom 2 Save student debt program, and FreeU education benefit - an affordable and convenient path to getting a bachelor’s degree.A company recognized as a great place to work in dozens of countries around the world and named one of the most admired companies in the world by Fortune.A company that is recognized as one of the best big companies to work for as well as a best place to work for diversity, working mothers, female executives, and scientists.The Opportunity This position works out of our Minnetonka location in the electrophysiology division (EP).Main Purpose of RoleAs an Operator II, you’ll work under direct supervision, performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes.What You’ll Work OnPerforms Casting/Coating functionsExamines medical devices and related assemblies after molding operations to locate bubbles, nicks and/or excess epoxyUtilizes small drills, reamers, taps, and knives to access bubbles and remove excess epoxyPatches and repairs bubbles or voids using syringes and small tools; bakes parts to cure epoxy patchesPerforms Mechanical Assembly functionsKits, assembles, bonds, coats, and processes medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable toolsLocates and corrects problems by examining devices and components and visually inspecting parts/assembliesRepairs and corrects devices and related components using microscopes and applicable toolsPerforms Packaging FunctionsKits, assembles, and packages devices and related accessories using applicable toolsLocates and corrects problems using a microscope and applicable toolsReviews all device documentation for completeness and accuracyMay set-up/utilize special test equipmentWork ShiftMonday – Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm with potential overtimeRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDTypically, two plus years of relevant training/experience in medical device assemblyThe ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is also required; this requirement includes clear, understandable speech and demonstrated comprehension skillsMust have the ability to on occasion lift up to approximately 25 poundsThe ability to work overtime is requiredPrevious microscope experience is highly desiredPreferred QualificationsAA degree in Electrical/Mechanical Technology, or comparable specialized training in and working knowledge of the manufacture of implantable medical devices or equivalent is desired. The base pay for this position is $15.55 – $31.15/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
