Here, you will make an impact by:Supporting the Project Manager in identifying the most cost-effective technical solutions and driving estimate, schedule, and change management processesLeading and coordinating all technical project work, including front-end engineering and design activities, to ensure robust, safe solutionsDefining Basis of Design (BOD) and Engineering package deliverablesSpecifying major equipment and overseeing the development of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and start-up/commissioning plansMaintaining effective communication and alignment with the project team and project owners throughout project executionDriving compliance by understanding applicable codes and guidelines to ensure designs meet EHS standardsYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start)Seven (7) years of capital project management experience and involvement in developing technical design and construction packages in a private, public, government or military environmentCurrent, valid Driver’s License.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical engineering degreeTrack record of successful project execution in a stage gate capital deployment modelPrior experience with webline, converting, automation, and/or discrete part handling equipmentWork location: Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.Travel: May include up 25% domesticRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.U.S. Export Control laws and U.S. Government Department of Defense contracts and sub-contracts impose certain restrictions on companies and their ability to share export-controlled and other technology and services with certain "non-U.S. persons" (persons who are not U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., refugees, "Temporary Residents" (granted Amnesty or Special Agricultural Worker provisions), or persons granted asylum.To comply with these laws, 3M must help assess candidates' U.S. person status.The questions asked in this application are intended to assess this and will be used for evaluation purposes only. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
