With over 5,000 employees and a presence in every county across the state, Texas A&M AgriLife is uniquely positioned to improve lives, environments and the Texas economy through education, research, extension and service.Click here to learn more about how you can be a part of AgriLife and make a difference in the world!Position InformationThe Custodian, under supervision, provides daily, general cleaning services to the Weslaco AgriLife Center.Responsibilities:Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors. Dust furniture and counters, clean windowsClean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms and shared spaces. Restock necessary supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.)Assist with setup of tables and chairs for meetings or events.Trash removal from offices, kitchens, restrooms and public/common areas dailyReplenishes supplies, cleans/polishes metal hardware, shampoos carpet, moves furniture, and mixes cleaning chemicals.Repairs minor damages on equipment and structures. Reports major damage on equipment.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.What You Need to KnowSalary: Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate’s qualifications. This is an hourly paid position.
