Job Description:RN Navigator – OncologySt. Mary’s Medical CenterFull-Time | 40 hours/weekPay Range: $44.42 – $65.70/hour (based on experience)Position SummarySt. Mary’s Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced RN Navigator – Oncology to guide patients through every step of their care journey. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advocate, coordinating care across the continuum while supporting patients and families with education, resources, and personalized care planning.You will partner closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and community resources to ensure seamless, high-quality cancer care—helping patients feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout treatment and beyond.Key ResponsibilitiesGuide patients and families through the oncology care process, ensuring clarity and coordination at every stepAssess patient needs and develop individualized care plans that support treatment goals and long-term outcomesCoordinate patient education, discharge planning, post-acute care plans, and follow-up servicesMonitor patient progress and ensure alignment with established care plansIdentify and prevent duplication of services, fragmentation of care, or unnecessary proceduresTrack and analyze patient data (e.g., length of stay, readmissions, outcomes) and contribute to care improvement effortsCollaborate with physicians, care teams, national organizations, and community partners to optimize patient supportPromote Intermountain Health’s mission, vision, and values in all patient interactionsMay float to other departments or participate in on-call coverage as neededMinimum QualificationsGraduate of an accredited School of NursingCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practiceCurrent BLS certification (or obtained within 60 days of hire)Minimum of 3 years of RN experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Oncology or specialty certification relevant to the roleWhy Join St. Mary’s Medical Center?Be part of a mission-driven organization focused on whole-person careMake a meaningful impact supporting oncology patients through complex care journeysCollaborate with a highly engaged, multidisciplinary teamAccess opportunities for professional growth and specialty developmentAdditional RequirementsAbility to work scheduled shifts on-site with consistent attendanceFlexibility to work evenings or weekends, as neededAbility to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodationOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
