City/StateElizabeth City, NCWork ShiftFirst (Days)Overview:Up to $15,000 sign on bonus available for qualified candidates!Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Radiology Department. This is a full-time day shift position in Elizabeth City, NC with required call.Hours: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-2:45pm; Holidays may be required depending on departmental needs The Radiology Registered Nurse will support radiology with cardiac specific testing such as nuclear stress testing, MRI, and CTA’s; procedures not limited to but including paracentesis, thoracentesis and biopsies. Check patient vitals, start IV’s and administer medications as needed.The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
