It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.Description of WorkThe Regional Child Health Nurse Consultant serves as the primary resource person for local health departments and other child service agencies in this region for the assessment of child health needs and for the development, implementation, and evaluation of child health clinical services, Care Management for At-Risk Children (CMARC) care management, and other health services related activities to meet these needs. As staff of the Whole Child Health Section, this consultant's responsibilities include:* Program planning and development* Program implementation and quality assurance* Consultation* Coordination and collaboration* Training and resources development. This position will cover counties in the northwestern portion of the state such as: Alexander, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Iredell, Randolph, Rockingham, Rowan, Stokes, Surry, Yadkin. This position is remote but will require travel for onsite visits, meetings and may require occasional overnight travel.The Regional Child Health Nurse Consultant position serves as part of the Child Health Nurse Consultant Team within the School, Adolescent, and Child Health Unit, providing a broad array of health-related services in the region.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Grade Range $66,696 - $110,049Recruitment Range $66,696 - $84,669*** THIS POSITION IS A FULLY REMOTE POSITION ***Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.
