We have a mission that matters!Description of WorkThis is a position at Piedmont Correctional Institution located in Salisbury, N.C. (Rowan County), which is a Medium male prison facility housing 800 inmates. This is journeyman level work in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. New or unusual work orders are usually accompanied by sketches or blueprints. This position will report to the facility Maintenance Supervisor.Key Duties & Responsibilities:• Electrical Systems: Installs, alters, and repairs wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and power distribution systems.• Conduit & Wiring: Measures, cuts, threads, bends, and installs conduit, and pulls wire through existing conduit systems.• Equipment & Lighting:• Troubleshooting & Repair• Institutional & Safety ComplianceKnowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Range: $41,206-$72,113 Salary Grade: NC09Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:Management Preferences:Documented knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the electrical trade.Documented knowledge of reading and working from blueprints and sketchesThe Posting Will Close At 11:59 P.M.
