This department includes state prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. We have a mission that matters!Description of WorkReporting to the Maintenance/Construction Supervisor II, the Maintenance/Construction Technician III position requires specialization in two or more technical trades in connection with maintenance of facilities, related equipment, and machinery. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:- Functioning at the journey level in multiple skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, or similar specializations. - Completing complex work assignments which require planning and/or coordinating multiple trade disciplines.- Working assigned tasks independently and referring very technical and/or unusual working problems to a supervisor for consideration. - Supervising offender workers engaged in semiskilled, unskilled, or of skilled maintenance assignments.- Ensuring compliance with work orders.- Maintaining equipment in proper working conditions. - Selected candidate may be scheduled to work any shift and will work weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 staffing coverage.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Range: $41,206 - $72,113This job posting will close at 11:59 pm, the night before the end date listed above.This is a RE-POST of position 60059456.  Previous applicants are still under consideration and do NOT need to re-apply.Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
