This department includes state prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Other divisions include Administration, Health Services, Rehabilitation & Reentry, Special Operations and the Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission. We have a mission that matters!Description of WorkReporting to the Correctional Housing Unit Manager II, this position provides supervision for subordinate officers regarding their assigned tasks with male offenders in a Minimum/Medium/Close custody state correctional facility. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Conducting shift line-up, making shift assignments, and inspecting personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post- Supervising and assigning subordinate officers to a particular area or post.- Completing, reviewing, and maintaining time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations, and administrative forms. - Accounting for persons and funds to ensure that all assigned equipment is operationally ready.- Responsible for subordinate officers' activities relating to the custody and welfare of offenders.- Working rotating and various duty assignments within the defined level of work.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Range: $41,206 - $72,113This job posting will close at 11:59 pm, the night before the end date listed above. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions.
