Opportunity Awaits, Apply Today!  As a Hunter Recruitment Coordinator (Learning and Development Specialist 2) in Salem Oregon, you will work with Education staff, agency partners, local sporting groups, and volunteers to deliver statewide programs, with a focus on Oregon’s major population centers.This role develops and implements shooting sports, hunting, archery, and bowhunting programs. It demands sound judgment, problem‑solving abilities, and clear guidance to the public. Interactions directly influence public and partner perceptions of agency programs. The Coordinator must work effectively with individuals of diverse skill levels and backgrounds, treating all customers, volunteers, stakeholders, and coworkers with professionalism, dignity, and respect. Click here to learn more about Equal Pay Analysis and What You Need to Know to Get the JobWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORMinimum Qualifications Option 1: Five years of work experience designing, planning, and implementing adult education courses, or applying web-based technologies in a blended learning environment;- OR -Option 2: Five years of work experience designing, planning, and implementing organizational development strategies.Equivalency Note:  A bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Training and Development, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or related field may substitute for three years of the work experience stated above.Desired AttributesExperience developing and implementing curriculum or training programsExperience creating and implementing strategies to increase participation in hunting and shooting sports  Experience developing, scheduling, conducting and evaluating training programsDemonstrated knowledge of hunter education, shooting sports, hunting, archery, bowhunting, equipment, and range safetyDemonstrated knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends regarding hunting and shooting sportsExperience with Microsoft Office and data/presentation softwareAPPLICATION DETAILS AND INSTRUCTIONSThe State of Oregon does not request or require your age, date of birth, attendance or graduation dates from an educational institution during the application process.The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range.
