This is a permanent full-time state position located at Camp Rilea in Warrenton, Oregon.This position is represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees’ (AFSCME) union.NOTE: This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. OMD is dedicated to diversity efforts that reinforce respectful treatment of others in the workplace.  These efforts focus on identifying ways to work better together, reducing conflict by increasing understanding, improving collaboration, fostering teamwork, and increasing productivity and quality of services delivered by OMD.What You Will be DoingPerform skilled, journey-level work installing, maintaining servicing and repairing the water and sewer distribution systems and associated plumbing fixtures at Camp Rilea.Working ConditionsSubject to loud noise and unsanitary work conditions several times monthly.  Required to push, pull and lift up to 90 lbs.  Required to bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time.  Regularly exposed to dust and blowing sand.  Works  in inclement weather.  Works from ladders, scaffolding, manlifts and on roofs several times monthly.  Works within confined spaces  several times monthly.  Infrequent exposure to chlorine, sewer, natural gas. (This position requires regular travel within a designated area).Conditions of EmploymentMust possess or be able to obtain and maintain a backflow assembly tester certification.Must Possess and maintain a valid State of Oregon Journeyman Plumbers License.Must have and maintain a favorable Criminal background History check and be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Department of Defense National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Suitability Determination (T1).
