The AMETHIST@Penn Hub will support the vision of the NIH IMPROVE initiative by providing consultation and technical assistance to Maternal Health Research Centers of Excellence and other IMPROVE investigators. The AMETHIST@Penn team will work closely with NIH staff and the Data Innovation and Coordinating Hub/Resource Center and will support equity-focused maternal health implementation research through five Cores: (1) Administration, Leadership, and Evaluation; (2) Community and Stakeholder Engagement; (3) Design, Methods, and Analysis; (4) Policy, Dissemination, and Communication; and (5) Training and Capacity Building. The Program Coordinator will be working within 1-2 specific cores under the supervision of the AMETHIST@Penn Project Manager. This position will work closely with a team of multidisciplinary researchers with a goal to advance public health and maternal health equity by facilitating rigorous implementation research that centers the needs and perspectives of patients, communities, and health disparity populations.Job DescriptionJob ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities of this position are:Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication between researchers, collaborators, and administrative staff. Prepare regular project updates and reports for management and stakeholders.Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance, such as tracking expenses, and managing procurement processes related to program/core specifics. Maintain accurate records of project-related activities and documentation.Event Coordination: Organize workshops, seminars, conferences, and other program-related events. Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, venue booking, participant communication, and materials preparation. Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment among researchers, faculty, and staff by facilitating effective teamwork and knowledge sharing. Managing documents for consultants and vendorsProject coordination: Organize and manage the logistics of program core(s), including timelines, resources, and milestones. Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to project goals.Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager*Position contingent upon continued funding*QualificationsBachelor's Degree with 2-3 years of related experience in research and/or administrative roles in healthcare or research, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Applicants must be well-organized and able to flexibly manage diverse responsibilities, with attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable with computers/technology, especially basic programs such as MS Word, Excel, etc.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Job Location - City, StatePhiladelphia, PennsylvaniaDepartment / SchoolPerelman School of MedicinePay Range$24.21 - $31.55 Hourly RateSalary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
