Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryAs the clinical heartbeat of a premier Pediatric Endocrinology outpatient team, the RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator II enjoys a coveted Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule. This professional maintains a high-impact career while benefiting from the stability of a role with no weekends or holidays.The RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator expertly balances direct provider support and patient care during ambulatory sessions with critical care coordination.Key responsibilities include:· Clinical Triage: Managing patient calls and ordering outpatient testing.· Advocacy: Facilitating care team communication and patient education.· Efficiency: Navigating complex patient care workflows and tasks within Epic.The role operates within a robust, collaborative multidisciplinary group consisting of 12 Faculty, 4 Fellows, 9 NPs, 6 RNs, and a robust clinical support team. Conveys findings to provider.Coordinates patient care, assists providers with entering treatment/therapy plans in EMR, ordering diagnostic testing, conveys findings to provider, coordinates patient appointments, and assists with referrals to outside sources.Assists provider with examination, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care.Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards, and quality assurance.Serves as a liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families, and healthcare team members.
