Service & Repair Technician - Orbitalum

Job Description:Are you a hands-on technician who likes fixing problems, staying organized, and being the go-to person when things need to get done?Orbitalum, an ITW company, currently has an opening for a Rental Service & Repair Technician in its Austin, Tx rental facility. (Moving closer to Taylor, TX in July 2026).  As a Service & Repair Technician, you’ll handle everything from rental equipment management and repairs, shipping/receiving, and computer-based tasks. You’ll also help manage day-to-day building needs, work directly with customers, and prioritize work as situations change.HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:Perform computer related tasks such as order entry, inventory transactions, and shipping paperworkResponsible for rental repairs including installing replacement parts to rebuild rental  equipmentMaintain rental facility, inventory, and the equipment needed to test machinesLog equipment in and out of the system based on customer info providedAble to complete repair estimates for customer-owned equipmentCommunicate with the sales team to understand customer requirementsKeep area clean and perform all duties in a safe effective and efficient mannerAdditional duties and tasks as assignedWHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:Strong communication skillsProblem-solve as necessaryAbility to work independentlyComfortable managing multiple tasks and reprioritizing as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:HS diploma, GED and/or 1 year of relevant experienceAbility to interpret drawings and specifications.Aptitude with various power tools preferred.Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s licenseMust be able to lift up to 40 lbs.Basic computer skills/knowledge of Word and Excel computer programsOccasional travel for training, including overnight stays, may be required.Additional InformationITW is an equal opportunity employer.
