Client Engineering is a critical pillar of this strategy, responsible for delivering highly reliable, secure, and intuitive endpoint platforms that support Visa’s global workforce.We are seeking a dynamic, individual contributor to join our team as Sr. Systems Engineer (Windows). The successful candidate will assist in defining standards, applying solutions-based engineering, and contributing to the design and architecture of the Windows endpoint environment, along with providing high-level operational support for escalations and communications.This role serves as a Senior Individual Contributor responsible for the design, engineering, and lifecycle management of the Windows platform at global scale. You will partner closely with Information Security, Workplace Technology, Enterprise Architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver a secure, reliable, and high-performing endpoint experience.The role emphasizes deep technical expertise, hands-on execution, and end-to-end ownership of solutions, contributing to platform strategy through engineering excellence, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration—without direct people management responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership & OwnershipServe as an individual contributor on the Windows platform engineering team, driving secure, scalable, and high-quality outcomes.Translate platform strategy into well-designed solutions, configurations, and automation that deliver measurable improvements in reliability and user experience.Lead by example through strong engineering practices, documentation, and technical mentorship for peers.Platform Engineering & ExecutionDesign and maintain Windows endpoint management using Intune and SCCMManage co-management scenarios (SCCM + Intune) for cloud transitionImplement Windows Autopilot for provisioning and deploymentDevelop automation using PowerShell and Win32 app packagingDrive adoption of Entra ID and modern cloud managementReliability & Continuous ImprovementMaintain secure Windows platform standards and configurationsEnsure platform reliability through monitoring and optimizationManage patch compliance using Intune, SCCM, and Windows Update for BusinessTrack and improve patch compliance SLAs across fleetTroubleshoot complex Windows issues with root cause analysisContinuous Learning & InnovationMaintain expertise in Windows endpoint technologies, continuously improving skills and knowledge.Evaluate new tools, technologies, and approaches, providing recommendations that enhance platform capability and developer/user experience.Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in learning new technologies, concepts, and operational practices.Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experiencePreferred Qualifications:3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)4+ years of experience in Windows platform engineering3–5 years of experience supporting Windows at enterprise scale supporting Windows OS and hardware at scale.Experience with Intune, SCCM, and co-managementStrong PowerShell scripting and packaging skillsExperience with Windows Autopilot and device lifecycle managementKnowledge of Active Directory / Entra IDStrong troubleshooting and networking fundamentalsExperience with patch compliance and enterprise patch managementExperience driving SCCM to Intune transitionsExposure to patch compliance reporting and remediationFamiliarity with endpoint security (Defender, BitLocker, Conditional Access)Strong collaboration and communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving mindsetVisa is an EEO EmployerQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
