Progress starts with you.Job DescriptionWork as a member of a team responsible for designing, coding, testing and maintaining Visa's Business Solutions B2B line of products.Contribute to enhancements and changes to existing B2B applications codebase.Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security and Java/J2EE best practices.Create code that is easily maintainable and have high system performance.Collaborate with Development & QA staff on individual and team deliverables.Create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Work with operations team for any production issuesIdentify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices and development methodologies. Work closely with project team and other groups (e.g. Network, QA, Ops, Engineering).Follow Coding and Design best practices. Participate in design and code review sessionsInteract with business units to define requirements/modifications and use case to utilize in designing appropriate solutionsAdapt quickly to new application knowledge and changesWork in a loosely structured, fast-paced organization.This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. QualificationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experiencePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experienceEducation & Experience1+ years of professional software engineering experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)Core Technical SkillsJava & Backend Development:Strong experience with JAVA, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPASolid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patternsExperience with RESTful API development and microservices architectureProficiency in code development using IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or similar Java IDEsExperience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, TestNG)Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and Java memory managementFamiliarity with reactive programming (Spring WebFlux, RxJava) is a plusDevelopment Tools & Practices:Proficient with GIT/Stash for version controlExperience with Maven or Gradle for dependency management and buildsHands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD toolsUnderstanding of code review best practices and collaborative developmentExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologiesAI-Assisted Development:Experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, or similar)Ability to leverage AI tools to improve coding efficiency and code qualityUnderstanding of prompt engineering for effective AI collaborationInterest in exploring AI/ML integration in software applicationsFamiliarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) is a plusVisa is an EEO EmployerQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
