We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!Organization:CPMC-California Pacific Med Center DaviesPosition Overview:Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in comprehensive rehabilitative programs within an inpatient acute rehabilitation facility. This role focuses on treating patients with neurological and a wide range of complex medical diagnoses, following their care from admission through discharge to optimize functional outcomes and independence.Provides evidence-based interventions to help restore or improve vocational, homemaking, activities of daily living (ADLs), and overall functional independence. Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and case management, to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.Builds trust and cooperation with patients, families, and support systems through thorough clinical assessment, attentive monitoring, patient education, and effective communication. Demonstrates strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced, acute rehab environment.Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, privacy, and quality of care.Provides clinical supervision to therapy assistants and aides and serves as a clinical instructor for assigned students. Prior experience or exposure to an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting is highly preferred, given the complexity and intensity of patient care.Job Description:EDUCATION:Other: Graduate of accredited occupational therapy program.CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:OT-Occupational TherapistOR OLP-Occupational Limited PermitBLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare ProviderTYPICAL EXPERIENCE:2 years of recent relevant experience.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Critical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently.Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.Must be able to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements.Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.
