IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Description Onsite General IT Support (Entry Level) The primary focus of our Onsite General IT Support position is ensuring that a company’s employees can use software and hardware to complete their daily tasks. Common General IT Support job duties include: Generating sign ins for new hires during the onboarding processAdding/removing and maintaining GoTo VOIP systemTroubleshooting Network PrintersResolving IT support requests from employeesAnswering employee questions regarding computer systemsGathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with computer systemsChanging configurations, settings, and permissions to fix computer issuesInstalling new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as neededUpdating employees on the status of their service requestsLogging all service requests and updating tickets as neededRequirements Skills and Qualifications: High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware, and applicationsStrong oral communication skills to gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple languageDemonstrated written communication skills to create useful support logsAnalytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issuesTime management skills to provide updates and fixes within a promised time frameMultitasking skills to assist multiple employees at onceObservational skills to recognize warning signs that indicate potential problemsCustomer service skills to interact professionally and positively with employees and coworkersExperience and Requirements: 1 + Years of IT support experience (Required)CompTIA certification is a plusAutomotive Industry is a plusAbility to pass a criminal background check and drug test
