THE CLASSICAL ACADEMY POSITION DESCRIPTION Title: Systems Administrator Department: Operations Date: Updated December 20, 2024 FLSA Status: Exempt Work Year: 260 Day Calendar Year Hours: Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm Salary: $70,570.50-86,856.00* *Actual starting salary will be determined based on the selected candidate's related knowledge and experience. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Responsible for the deployment, upkeep, maintenance, and training for all client-server hardware, network, user accounts and applications in support of the academic, operational, and business functions of TCA. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the Technology Director The following statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and do not include other non-essential or marginal duties that may be required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs activities associated with deployment, configuration, and upgrade/patching of TCA servers, network equipment, and network services. Performs activities associated with OS and application deployment, configuration and upgrades of end user devices and client-server applications. Manage and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive. Implement, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to compute, storage, network, and security Administer the creation, operation, modification, deletion, licensing of user accounts and systems access for students, staff, and administrators where applicable Coordinate with TCA Technology Director, Academy School District20 information security personnel and third party vendors to implement and deliver tools to guard against internal or external threats to data security and integrity Ensure compliance with district and state requirements concerning the capture, uplink and reporting of data Assists school staff with TCA's student information system to include activities to install, update, maintain, and troubleshoot/resolve issues Assists with the support, coordination, and transfer of information between disparate school databases and assists with resolving access and integration issues with all school related data Coordinate with external service providers and host(s) to provide project deliverables and resolve issues related to integration of third-party products and services. Accomplishes system backups for all servers at designated periodic intervals Implement and maintain security policies and compliance measures. Carries and responds to a mobile communication device for the purpose of conducting school related business both during and after normal business hours MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Attends ongoing training and meetings as required in order to remain up to date on network policy, procedure, and performance Participate in school level Educational Technology and Information Literacy (ET/IL) meetings. Perform other duties as required MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred Emphasis in System Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology preferred EXPERIENCE: Information technology background, preferably in a K-12 educational setting. AzureAD, M365 Admin experience preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Demonstrate strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities with hardware and software Exhibit the prioritization and impact assessment capabilities to be highly responsive to operational needs, and provide superb customer service to meet client needs in a timely manner Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work with limited supervision to resolve IT issues Ability to maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, administrators, staff, faculty, and students Exhibit caring attitude toward students and sta
