Join us and be part of something bigger – helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.Job SummaryAs a Senior Analytics Engineer within the Pharmacy Services Finance Business Intelligence, Automation, & Advanced Analytics organization, you’ll have the opportunity to become a trusted consultant to the CFO organization, building scalable and sustainable pipelines for massive amounts of enterprise data. Leveraging industry leading technology, you’ll be tasked with engineering the architecture of Finance data supporting critical analytics from numerous disparate sources, all integrated into semantic models and marts. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with business stakeholders and analytics partners to dive deep into the data at CVS Health, ensuring data-driven decisions can be made on a timely and consistent basis.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop high quality, scalable architecture and integration for data pipelines and modelsProvide subject matter expertise in the engineering space, making recommendations on project scope, architecture, deliverables, acceptance, and deploymentTranslate complex business questions and requirements into accessible data structures that can be leveraged to drive analytics and decision-makingLeverage industry and enterprise standard frameworks to build sustainable and automated source data extraction, load, and transformationIdentify potential failure points and optimization opportunities in existing production solutions to engineer a more efficient, consistent, and timely pipelineDevelop internal tools to streamline development and ensure consistency and quality in codeCraft appropriate documentation to ensure sustainability and usability by technical partnersBuild strong and enduring relationships with business partners, promoting trust and collaborationProactively partner with visual analytics teammates to collaborate on solution architecture and executionProvide technical guidance and direction to more junior engineersBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a quantitative or STEM field7+ years of experience writing expert level SQL within database systems such as BigQuery, SAP HANA, Teradata5+ years of experience with Python or other object-oriented languages in an analytics engineering setting5+ years of experience with data, orchestration, and pipeline engineering services such as Airflow, Spark, Kubernetes, preferably Composer / Dataproc3+ years of experience deploying to, and managing CI/CD within, cloud database platforms3+ years of experience managing serverless architecture and integrations across multiple cloud servicesPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in a STEM fieldExperience engineering scalable and sustainable production-ready solutions that require minimal manual interventionExperience with designing and implementing Kimball dimensional modelsAbility to identify potential technical problems and craft innovate solutions to overcome themExperience working in an agile project environmentExceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organizationAbility to work quickly under potentially ambiguous circumstancesAnticipated Weekly Hours40Time TypeFull timePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$92,700.00 - $185,400.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
