Software Engineering ManagerCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join our Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) organization in Everett, WA.The team supports two cloud service infrastructure platforms. The first is BCA’s public-facing global infrastructure, which facilitates air-to-ground communication between multiple Boeing business unit applications and airline operators. The second is Boeing’s secure infrastructure that stores, receives, and distributes aircraft software. Additionally, the team is responsible for all aircraft loadable software processes and standards.The ideal candidate will have strong people management skills while providing technical oversight to engineering employees supporting the software lifecycle. Management duties will span all phases of the software development lifecycle, including oversight of requirements, architecture/design, quality assurance, and service support. Find your future with us.Position Responsibilities:Lead and develop a software engineering team responsible for the software development life cycle, evaluating team performance and output qualityWork and coordinate with global technical teams and 3rd-party partnersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliverables, as well as identify opportunities and mitigate riskOversee the design, coding, testing, and deployment of software solutionsEnsure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and QA processesMentor and train team members, providing technical guidanceMonitor and control cost, schedules, and mitigations related to developmentPrepare and report on integrated project progress, addressing issues or barriersAlign with agile development processes, including sprint and related planningEnsure software solutions are scalable, secure, and perform optimallyThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
