This position is hybrid and located in Budapest.What You Will Do:Supplier Onboarding & Vendor Master GovernanceOwn and execute end-to-end supplier onboarding for direct, indirect, and logistics suppliersManage vendor lifecycle activities (creation, extension, blocking/unblocking) with strong focus on risk, compliance, and data accuracyValidate onboarding documentation and ensure completeness prior to supplier activationAct as the primary operational SME for onboarding-related inquiries and escalationsSupplier Risk & Due Diligence OperationsPerform supplier due diligence checks, including:Financial health assessmentsCompliance and third-party risk screenings (e.g. D&B / Equifax / Qichacha / Exiger)Assess and segment suppliers by risk level, identifying elevated-risk suppliersInitiate, track, and document mitigation actions for higher-risk suppliersRisk Documentation, Registers & Audit ReadinessContinuously support to maintain and update the supplier risk registerEnsure risk findings, mitigation actions, and ownership are clearly documented and audit-readySupport internal and external audits by providing evidence, data extracts, and process explanationsEnsure alignment between vendor master data, risk tools, and supporting documentationDiscrepancy Investigation & Issue ResolutionInvestigate discrepancies across vendor master data, outline agreements, contracts, POs, and invoices where they impact risk, controls, or complianceCoordinate with Category Managers, Finance, AP, Legal, Compliance, and Logistics teams to resolve issuesDrive corrective actions through to closure and validate sustainabilityProcurement Operations & Automation (Risk & Control Focus)Support PO automation and RPA activities from a governance and control perspective operationallyMonitor automation exceptions RPA(s) in placeIdentify opportunities to improve automation efficiency and reduce manual risk pointsLogistics Data & Reporting SupportMaintain logistics-related master data, including rate tables and supplier attributesEnsure logistics data accuracy to support risk assessments and operational reportingPrepare and validate data inputs for reporting activities as requiredGovernance & Controls ExecutionPerform compliance and control checks on procurement and supplier-related transactionsEnsure adherence to procurement policies, third-party risk standards, and control frameworksIdentify and escalate control gaps, recurring issues, or policy deviations with clear recommendationsDocument & Knowledge ManagementMaintain clear and structured documentation of:Processes and work instructionsControl activities and checksKey decisions and remediation actionsEnsure documentation supports audit, compliance, and knowledge continuityProcess Ownership & Continuous ImprovementSupport operational processes related to supplier onboarding, risk, and master data governanceIdentify inefficiencies, recurring issues, and control weaknessesSupport implementation of automation, standardization, and process improvements in collaboration with IT and Process Improvement teamsStakeholder Engagement & SME AdvisoryAct as a trusted SME for Category Managers and Procurement stakeholders on supplier onboardingProactively communicate risk insights and operational findings to support informed decision-makingCollaborate cross-functionally (Procurement, AP, Finance, Compliance, IT, Logistics) to ensure aligned executionWhat You BringCollege or University degree5+ years of experience in ProcurementAnalytical and Problem-Solving SkillsCommunication and Interpersonal SkillsTechnical Proficiency (ERP system, Business workflow platforms, Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Supply Chain and Procurement Management Software, Assessment platforms)Organizational and Time Management SkillsRisk ManagementCompliance KnowledgeCritical & analytical thinkingProcess Improvement/Continuous Improvement mindsetStakeholder EngagementAttention to Detail#LI-SZ1Benefits of Joining AlbemarleCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits packageA diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.Choose to unlock your full POTENTIAL.
