Sales Support Specialist

Groot Industries, a Waste Connections Company, is hiring a motivated, detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist for our dynamic sales team in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Sales Support Specialist plays a critical role in driving sales success by supporting broker relationships, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.  The position serves as a key liaison between internal sales teams and external partners, helping to streamline processes, maintain accurate data, and deliver timely and high-quality service.Pay Rate: $22.00/hrSchedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pmBenefits: We offer excellent benefits including:  medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long term & short-term disability, life insurance, 401(K), and more.Duties & Responsibilities: Respond promptly and professionally to phone and email inquiries from brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders.Coordinate and support sales activity by working with the team to submit competitive bids for business, including gathering requirements and tracking outcomes.Serve as the primary point of contact for broker-managed accounts, building strong relationships and ensuring consistent communication.Maintain and actively manage the sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are tracked, updated, and progressed efficiently.Perform accurate data entry, lead tracking, and reporting within CRM systems to support sales activity.Job Qualifications1+ year of experience in a sales, customer support, or sales operations roleStrong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailSolid math and analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a teamWaste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
