If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level.Job Description:UPS is currently looking for Part-time Local Sorters to work from our Fraser Valley Package FacilityPosition Title: Local SortersPosition Type: Permanent Part-timeWork Hours: 5:30PM – 9:30PM*Workdays: Monday to Friday* Location: 790 Belgrave Way, Delta BC*Shift schedules may vary based on operational requirementsLocal Sorters are responsible for unloading and loading packages off and on trailers, air canisters, and other vehicles. Other responsibilities may include:Lifting, lowering, and moving of packages weighing between 10 to 70lbs.Handling packages weighing up to 150lbs.Scanning and sorting packages based on postal codes, addresses, package dimensionsUnderstanding and recognizing postal codes, routing charts and mapsStanding closely with conveyor, roller belts and other equipment in the warehouseWashing package cars to ensure cleanlinessQualificationsAvailable to work Monday to Friday*Ability to follow set of safety and standard proceduresGood organizational and multi-tasking skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding work environmentAble to regularly and safely lift packages up to 70-lbs unassistedMust be comfortable working in a warehouse environment.Warehouse experience is considered an asset but not required.All candidates must go through a series of interviews, background and reference checks.What we offer...Training and Development: training provided for all positionsWeekly compensation: weekly pay, effective starting rate of $18.00/hourTuition Reimbursement Program: reimburse tuition fees for up to $1000/semester*Guaranteed wage progression: guaranteed wage progression*Generous benefits package: Extended benefitsPromotion from within: career advancement in many areas of the businessEmployee discounts: employee discounts available online through UPSers.*Conditions ApplyIf you are interested in joining the UPS team.
