You’ll use your technical knowledge to perform routine maintenance, trouble-shoot and repair pump equipment of varying sizes, capacity, function and manufacturer. Your primary objective is to coordinate the activities of yard and shop personnel, plus to diagnose and supervise the repair and assembly of Fluid Solutions equipment to ensure that work is performed efficiently, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.What you'll do:Create work schedules and maintaining proper accounting of Service Technician productivityGenerate service-related revenueSchedule and perform timely repairs for rental and customer equipmentWhen required, travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance of equipmentAccurately order needed parts from vendors when neededAssist peers in developing diagnostic skills and perform all service technician functions when necessaryOther duties assigned as neededRequirements:High School diploma or equivalent; Trade school training preferred5+ years of experience with repairing and maintaining vehicles and equipmentHighly developed mechanical background knowledge particularly with various enginesExtensive knowledge of construction equipmentAdvanced understanding of schematics and diagramsOwn the tools applicable to positionStrong leadership, teamwork, and customer service skillsDiligent attention to safetyValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordThis position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.  Why join us?We don’t just “talk the talk!” We’re an award-winning company (recently named a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026) that truly cares about our people - That’s why we offer best-in-class benefits and perks that will support you and your family.
