Business Analytics Specialist

The Business Analytics Specialist role within PPG Automotive Refinish Global Commercial Excellence partners closely with the business to deliver actionable insights that drive informed, data-driven decisions. You will manage the full analytics lifecycle—requirements gathering, KPI framework development, data modeling, visualization design, and ongoing maintenance and enhancements. You will create and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports, establishing KPI frameworks, and transforming data into meaningful insights that support commercial excellence.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models using best practices for performance and usability.Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.Write and maintain DAX calculations for measures and KPIs.Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and optimize data models and load processes.Collaborate with data engineering teams on data load processes and data integration.Partner with Refinish business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and self-service analytics.Stay current with BI trends, tools, and technologies to recommend enhancements.Lead small analytics projects or dashboard deployments.Manage timelines, scope, and stakeholder expectations for reporting deliverables.About us:Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field3–5 or more years of experience in BI development, data analytics, or similar roles.Proficiency in visualization tools (Power BI)Interpret data, storytelling with visuals, and influencing decisionsFamiliarity with Agile methodologies, including working in cross-functional teams, participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery of BI solutions.About us:Here at PPG we make it happen, and we are looking for candidates of the highest integrity and professionalism who share our values, with the commitment and drive to strive today to do better than yesterday – everyday.PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD™Through leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
