Company:Marsh RiskDescription:We are seeking a talented individual to join our Workers Compensation team at Marsh. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.This is an opportunity to lead placement strategy and support the delivery of workers’ compensation solutions for clients across Australia. You will work closely with clients, brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders to shape market positioning, manage outcomes and support team capability.We will count on you to:Lead the local placement team, including workload allocation, staffing coordination, coaching and performance managementDevelop and execute placement strategies that align local activity with national priorities and client needsAdvise on market positioning, support client retention and new business efforts, and contribute to pricing and go-to-market decisionsBuild and maintain trusted relationships with clients, brokers, insurers, underwriters and internal stakeholdersPrepare and review submissions, obtain carrier quotes, and ensure placement binders are accurate and completeMonitor revenue, budget and profitability outcomes, identify risks and recommend corrective actions where neededWhat you need to have:Demonstrated experience in workers’ compensation, insurance placement, underwriting, brokerage or a related advisory roleStrong financial and analytical capability, including pricing, performance analysis, loss ratio review or quarterly forecastingExperience managing stakeholder relationships and presenting advice to senior client executivesProven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environmentWhat makes you stand out:Experience with workers’ compensation legislation and market offerings across multiple jurisdictionsBackground in people risk, workplace risk, underwriting, brokerage or accountingExperience contributing to process improvements, market updates or national capability upliftWhy join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leadersWe foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communitiesOur scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-beingApplications can be considered from candidates who have the appropriate approval to work in Australia.
