Company:Marsh CorporateDescription:Junior Legal Counsel, Funds - LondonWe are seeking a talented individual to join our Legal, Compliance & Public Affairs team at Marsh, supporting the Investments business.This is an excellent opportunity for you to build your knowledge and experience across a broad range of investment management and funds‑related matters within a global professional services firm.We will count on you to:Negotiate client investment management, advisory and similar or related agreementsSupport strategic investment initiatives from a legal perspectiveProvide legal advice on the structuring, establishment, and ongoing operation of UK and cross‑border investment funds and related investment vehiclesAdvise on applicable UK regulatory frameworks, including the FCA Handbook and the UK AIFM regime, working closely with Compliance, Risk and external counselDraft, review, and negotiate fund documentation, including constitutional documents, investment management agreements, and service provider arrangementsAct as a trusted business partner to colleagues across Investments, Operations, Compliance, Risk and Finance, delivering pragmatic and commercially-focused adviceIdentify and help manage legal and regulatory risks in line with Marsh’s risk management framework and internal policiesContribute to legal knowhow, precedents, and process improvementsOpportunities to assist with investment-related acquisitionsWhat you need to have/be:Qualified solicitor (England & Wales), gained within a leading law firm funds or asset management practice, or an in‑house legal team within asset management, investments, or financial servicesStrong analysis, drafting and review skillsExcellent attention to detailProactive and self‑motivated, with a willingness to take on responsibilityExperience advising on funds matters, including liquid and illiquid fundsSound legal knowledge with a strong understanding of liquid and illiquid fund structures and termsGood understanding of the asset management industry and its regulatory environmentClear, analytical thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and assess commercial issues and risksEffective negotiator, able to balance legal risk with commercial objectivesAble to work under pressure and manage competing priorities to meet deadlinesWhat would make you stand out:Strong teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and readiness to support colleagues in a collaborative legal environmentWhy join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have an impact on colleagues, clients, and communities.Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being and development.Marsh (NYSE: MRSH) is a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting, advising clients in 130 countries.
