This internship provides hands-on exposure to building safety systems, regulatory compliance, and customer service in a field-based service environment.How you will do it:Assist with routine inspection and testing of fire detection systems across customer sitesSupport preventative maintenance activities for both Johnson Controls and competitor-branded systemsLearn and apply safety standards, codes, and regulatory compliance requirementsIdentify and report minor system issues during inspections under supervisionSupport documentation accuracy by organizing service records and inspection dataAssist in completing service acknowledgments and maintaining customer recordsCollaborate with technicians and team members to ensure timely and high-quality service deliveryProvide professional, responsive support to customers during service interactionsRequired Qualifications:Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at a tech school or universityBasic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or building systems (academic or hands-on exposure)Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow safety protocolsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a team-oriented, field-based environmentHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $19.00 - $22.00/hour (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
