This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals while developing essential skills with wrapping units and measuring and cutting material.Essential Job FunctionsWrap units with insulation material.Cut and measure material for placement on unit.Fit, adjust, install, and fasten unit or component parts to unit.Marginal FunctionsPerform housekeeping and other duties as required.Physical/Mental RequirementsLifting 50 lbs. (occasionally), standing (constantly), walking (frequently), bending (frequently), climbing (frequently), crawling (occasionally), reaching (frequently), grasping (frequently), sitting (occasionally), connecting (frequently), pulling (frequently), reading prints (frequently), and exercising judgment (frequently).Must understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Ability to follow written and oral instructions.Vision corrected to 20/20.Handling equipment (frequently).Environmental FactorsManufacturing environment – Exposure to noise, dirt, dust, cold/heat (indoor), and cold/heat (outdoor). Job hazards of working around heavy equipment and machinery.Tools and Equipment UsedTape measure, small hand tools, power tools, crane, and brazing torch.QualificationsKnowledge of hand toolsAbility to read a measuring tapeGood hand dexterity required to fit and assemble productSome judgment requiredPerform math at a level normally acquired through completion of high schoolAbility to maintain clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required.Depending on the type of Assembler, this person must be able to qualify in the following process:Insulation PSI testingCapability to maintain a clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required.As a condition of employment, active participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is a condition of employment.Hourly Hiring Range                                                                                                                                                                                                                $16-18 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
