Job Description:Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) SupervisorEnvironmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor3M announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Bain Capital to form a new Joint Venture which will combine Scott Safety and Madison Fire and Rescue. 3M's deep expertise and track record in the safety industry combined with Bain Capital's capability to integrate businesses, accelerate growth and drive synergies make this an ideal partnership.The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.The successful candidate may be employed by 3M prior to closing and the position is expected to transition to the Joint Venture following completion of the transaction. Here, you will make an impact by:Providing environment, health and safety leadership and direction, in consultation with the EHS Staff and site leadership teams for the 3M Monroe, NC location.Setting short and long-term strategic direction, site EHS priorities, and assign resources.Maintaining full responsibility for functional EHS results.Ensuring operational Environmental, Health and Safety performance through comprehensive delineation of health and safety requirements, active and visible leadership, and effective coaching with site leaders to assure employee engagement.Ensuring compliance to all applicable standards and regulations, and conformance to all environmental, health and safety expectations.Actively supporting EHS Cultural Excellence through personal responsibility for safety, health, and environment, promoting an improvement culture to address incidents, near-misses and potential hazards.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Eight (8) years with EHS programs and procedures within a private, public, government or military environment.Five (5) years with industrial hygiene and ergonomics experience.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Seven (7) or more years of experience working in an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) role with emphasis in IH and/or ergonomic in a manufacturing environment.Two (2) combined years’ experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role.Master’s degree or higher in a science, engineering, or environmental health and safety (EHS) discipline from an accredited institution.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others, lead change and drive improvement.Self-directed, detail oriented, good interpersonal, communication, coaching, prioritization, and organizational skills.Analytical, strategic planning, program development and deployment skills including leading cross-functional teams.Applicable EHS certification(s) for this position (CSP, CIH, CPE).Work Location: On-site Monroe, NCTravel: May include up to 15% DomesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
