Here, you will make an impact by:Leading technical problem-solving for injection molding processes across internal and external manufacturing environmentsCoaching and mentoring engineers and technicians to deliver results through structured problem-solvingDriving improvements in safety, quality, service, cost, and process capabilitySupporting process development and scale-up from pilot to production environmentsPartnering with internal teams and external suppliers to diagnose and resolve complex molding issuesYour Skills and Expertise   To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Plastics, Chemical) or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in injection molding or polymer processing in a manufacturing environmentORAssociate’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in injection molding or polymer processing in a manufacturing environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Five (5) to eight (8) years or more of injection molding experienceHands-on experience with molding processes, including prior direct machine or process experienceExperience coaching engineers and/or technicians in problem-solving environmentsExperience solving complex molding process issues across multiple environments, including internal and external manufacturingKnowledge of materials and polymer behavior; experience with equipment or process optimization and exposure to simulation tools is a plusWork location: Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/internationalRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.U.S. Export Control laws and U.S. Government Department of Defense contracts and sub-contracts impose certain restrictions on companies and their ability to share export-controlled and other technology and services with certain "non-U.S. persons" (persons who are not U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., refugees, "Temporary Residents" (granted Amnesty or Special Agricultural Worker provisions), or persons granted asylum.To comply with these laws, 3M must help assess candidates' U.S. person status.The questions asked in this application are intended to assess this and will be used for evaluation purposes only.
