With a wide variety of people, global locations, technologies, and products, 3M is a place where you can collaborate with other curious, creative 3Mers.The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs Procurement Service Center Manager - India, you will lead the introduction, operational deployment, and stabilization of a new global portfolio of Procurement Front Office and Middle Office services within 3M’s Procurement Services organization. This role will be instrumental in establishing India as a key delivery hub for globally managed procurement activities that are operational, tactical, system-enabled, and transactional in nature.The purpose of this role is to build and lead a service center team that delivers standardized procurement support across regions through scalable processes, strong service discipline, and effective use of systems, tools, and controls. The scope of the organization includes global Front Office and Middle Office services that support procurement execution, service coordination, data management, reporting, controls, and operational follow-up.This role is intentionally differentiated from strategic procurement and category-focused organizations. While category teams remain accountable for sourcing strategies, commercial decision-making, category management, and broader supplier strategy, the India Procurement Service Center will focus on the execution and operational management of globally deployed transactional and tactical services.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the introduction and operational deployment of a new global portfolio of Procurement Front Office and Middle Office services in the India service centerBuild, lead, and develop a team responsible for delivering globally scoped procurement services that are operational, transactional, tactical, and system-enabledEstablish stable and scalable service delivery capabilities to support the transition of work into the India hubEnsure effective execution of global procurement support activities through standardized processes, tools, reporting, monitoring, and controlsManage day-to-day service delivery across Front Office and Middle Office activities, ensuring quality, responsiveness, compliance, and operational efficiencyPartner with global procurement stakeholders to support service implementation, clarify scope, align operating expectations, and ensure readiness for deploymentDrive service performance management through KPIs, dashboards, operational reviews, and continuous improvement actionsSupport process governance, service consistency, and operational discipline across the newly deployed portfolioLead knowledge transfer, capability building, and team readiness efforts to ensure successful migration and long-term sustainability of servicesIdentify opportunities to improve process efficiency, standardization, and service effectiveness as the global portfolio evolvesScope of the RoleThis role is responsible for leading the deployment and operational management of a new global portfolio of Front Office and Middle Office procurement services.These services are global in scope and are designed to provide transactional, tactical, operational, and system/tool-based support to the broader procurement organization.Front Office servicesFront Office services are business-facing and focused on service coordination, request intake, stakeholder communication, supplier interaction, and day-to-day procurement support.Middle Office servicesMiddle Office services are focused on operational governance, reporting, controls, data management, compliance monitoring, and value-enabling support activities.The team does not own category strategy, strategic sourcing, or enterprise-level supplier performance leadership. Those responsibilities remain with category and strategic procurement teams. The India team’s role is to execute and sustain the operational service portfolio that enables procurement delivery at scale.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified prior to startSeven (7) years of experience in procurement operations, shared services, supply chain operations, or service delivery in a private, public, government, or military environmentExperience leading teams in an operational, transactional, or shared services environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience leading procurement service center operations or global business services teamsExperience supporting the deployment or transition of new service portfolios into a shared services or global capability center environmentStrong understanding of procurement operational processes, systems, tools, controls, and service delivery modelsExperience managing high-volume, process-driven, globally scoped operationsStrong people leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skillsExperience with procurement systems and ERP platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or similar toolsExperience with performance management, operational reporting, dashboards, and service governanceContinuous improvement mindset with experience in process standardization, simplification, and operational efficiency initiativesWork Location: Hebbal, Bangalore (Karnataka), Hybrid ModeSupporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
