Current Employees and Students: If you are currently employed or enrolled as a student at any of the Universities of Wisconsin, log in to Workday to apply through the internal application process.Position Title:Admissions CounselorJob Category:Academic StaffEmployment Type:RegularJob Profile:Adm & Rctmt Coord IIJob Duties:The Admissions Counselor plans, develops, and manages a comprehensive recruitment strategy aligned with UW–Green Bay’s strategic enrollment goals, representing the university to prospective students, families, schools, and community partners. Conducts targeted outreach via CRM Salesforce to support yield efforts through personalized communication. Southeastern Wisconsin territory management; delivers presentations and detailed information specific to admissions, cost, scholarships, academic programs, etc. Builds and maintains relationships with high school counselors, staff and community organizations; coordinates high school visits, events and virtual student meetings. Key Job Responsibilities:Schedules logistics and secures resources for events to promote the InstitutionIdentifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admissionIdentifies opportunities for and develops admissions and outreach eventsRecruit and counsel prospective students by providing timely and accurate information about degree options, admission procedures, general education requirements, supporting and major course requirements for available programs of study, and rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the institutionMay supervise staff and/or lead a program areaDelivers directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiencesUse CRM Salesforce to effectively recruit studentsCounsels prospective and admitted students on educational planning and career opportunitiesCreates targeted communication plans and materials based on established goalsEngages in extensive outreach and recruitment events, representing the university to prospective studentsEvaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvementReviews, evaluates, and responds to student applications according to established policies and proceduresStart Date:August 3, 2026Department:AdmissionsCompensation:Compensation range of $44,739 - $46,226.This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree by start dateExperience in admissions, customer service experience within higher education, or related fieldPreferred Qualifications:Professional experience in K-12 or post-secondary educationProficiency in speaking and reading in a second language, preferably Spanish, Hmong, Oneida, or SomaliExperience with software systems such as Peoplesoft, Salesforce, ImageNow that support Admissions processesConditions of Appointment:The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate will travel to Southeastern Wisconsin high schools, fairs, and other institutions as necessary. Occasional daytime, evening, and weekend hours will be required. Rental cars and hotel accommodations will be available as needed.This position may have the option to work on-campus with a hybrid schedule, subject to approved telecommuting request.Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment. A pre-employment education check which includes, but is not limited to, the verification of academic credentials will be conducted on the finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s) and if there is prior work history within the last 7 years with Universities of Wisconsin, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct.
