This position will be responsible for interacting with the public as well as prospective and current students and instructors to support the creation and execution of non-credit classes, to include use of a cloud-based education management system, generation of course rosters, classroom setup, tracking and communication of course data, and generation and distribution of course completion certificates and materials.This position will also provide operational support including making purchases on behalf of the Continuing Education Department, complete marketing and public relations tasks to include working with WNC's Marketing Department to promote offerings and updating the Continuing Education webpages regularly.Required QualificationsThis position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas:  maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OROne (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; ORAn equivalent combination of education and experience as described abovePreferred QualificationsCandidates with experience in PeopleSoft, OnBase or Workday programs are encouraged to apply.Schedule The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.Compensation GradeGrade 27In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity and budgets.
