This role supports research focused on understanding the mechanistic basis of neurovascular coupling in both health and disease, contributing to ongoing studies and laboratory operations.ResponsibilitiesLaboratory administration supportManage lab inventory and ordering of suppliesAssist with regulatory compliance (e.g., biosafety, IACUC)Maintain lab documentation, SOPs, and training recordsAssist with onboarding and training of new lab membersAnimal colony managementMaintain and organize mouse breeding coloniesPerforming weaning, sexing, and genotyping of transgenic linesConduct ear notching and tissue collection for genotypingCoordinate sample submission for third-party genetic analysisPerform euthanasia and tissue harvesting in accordance with approved IACUC protocols Experimental SupportAssist with in vivo and ex vivo experimentsSupport data collection, entry, and basic statistical analysisRequired Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organization skillsWillingness to learn new techniques and work with animalsPreferred QualificationsPrior research experience with small animal handling or surgical techniquesExperience with dissection, microinjectionsFamiliarity with microscopySchedule20 hours per weekCompensation GradeTemporary Hourly ResearchExemptNoFull-Time Equivalent50.0%Required Attachment(s)Please note, once you submit your application the only attachment/s viewable to you will be the attachment/s to the resume/CV section of the application.
