As a full-time Access Control Clerk at Banner University Medical Center, Tucson, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors and staff members. This position provides quality customer service while controlling access to secure areas. While you may not be patrolling the facility, you will be filling a critical role within our Security team. You will work closely with the facility Security staff while managing various front desk tasks such as answering questions, assisting with badging needs, providing visitor passes and more. The shifts available are: DAY SHIFTS: Shift A: (Sun-Wed) Sun - Tues 6:30 am-7 pm, then ½ day WedShift B: (Wed-Sat) ½ day Wed then Thursday - Sat 6:30am am-7 pmNIGHT SHIFTS:Shift C:(Sun-Wed) Sun - Tues 6:30pm-7:00am, then ½ day WedShift D: (Wed-Sat) ½ day Wed then Thursday - Sat 6:30pm-7:00am Your pay and benefits are important components of your journey at Banner Health. This position provides quality customer service while controlling access to secured areas by verifying appointments with appropriate staff.CORE FUNCTIONS1. Greets and assists visitors to the area. Provides them with general information regarding processes and policies, and directs them to appropriate resources, services, or areas.2. Maintains an orderly waiting area and provides a positive/satisfying/friendly experience. Reports maintenance issues as needed to facilitate visitor comfort and safety.3. Performs visitor authorization procedures, serves as a liaison between visitors and staff, relays visitor concerns to staff, and coordinates visitor support services such as validating parking, and taking and relaying messages, etc.4. May answer phones, transfer calls, take messages, and relay messages and information as needed.5. May perform these additional functions, depending on assigned area: assembles charts, files, sorts mail, maintains supplies inventory, or other appropriate duties as requested.6. Performs functions within established parameters.
