Come learn and train with ODFW and help us fulfill our mission: To protect and enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats for use and enjoyment by present and future generations.As a Laboratory and Field Technician (Biological Science Assistant) in Corvallis, Oregon you will:Collect fish tissues for fish health examination from fish held at hatcheries on the Willamette River system and lower Columbia RiverProcess samples and conduct microbiological tests at the Corvallis Fish Pathology LaboratoryEnter and summarize the dataHelp sampling wild brood fish in various parts of OregonUtilize precise technical skills to accurately measure small amounts of tissues and liquidsWrite reportsCommunicate information collected from the projects to hatchery and other ODFW personnelThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
