If this sounds like you, please apply now for this opportunity to become part of the Board of Pharmacy team.Licensing Representative (Public Service Representative 3)The Board of Pharmacy regulates the Practice of Pharmacy and enforces laws regarding pharmacy staff, drug outlets and the sale of drugs in Oregon. The Board was created in 1891. By licensing pharmacists, pharmacy interns and pharmacy technicians, the Board of Pharmacy ensures that only qualified people practice pharmacy in Oregon. The Board registers and inspects retail and hospital pharmacies and stores that sell over-the-counter drugs. It also registers and inspects drug wholesalers and manufacturers and regulates the quality and distribution of all drugs in Oregon.What You’ll DoAs the Licensing Representative you will have regular contact with customers, in- person and by phone, some of which may be upset or angry. You will routinely answer questions relating to over 30 different license categories, assisting customers through online processes and communicating information to customers accurately, consciously and concisely. You will greet the public and all visitors to the agency, act as first-level phone contact for incoming calls to the agency, process incoming mail, issue and renew licenses and be responsible for entering data into the licensing database, reviewing applications for applicability, completeness and eligibility for licensure. Additionally, duties include processing accounts receivable and performing various other licensing representative duties such as run background checks through LEDS (the Law Enforcement Data System), performing continuing education audits, and scan and maintain electronic licensing files.The duties are performed in the Portland office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm to meet agency and department missions.For a full review of the position duties, details, and working conditions, please click here.This Is What You Need to QualifyMinimum Qualifications:Two years of experience in customer service.
