The Cybersecurity Consultant assist federal customers, development organizations and third party vendors with meeting demanding and ever evolving security requirements to insure Motorola Solutions products and systems are available in the moments that matter most!Job Description** This position is to support our U.S. Federal Customers world wide. Applicants must be comfortable with a minimum of 50% travel (International and Domestic) **Candidates for this position will be responsible for working with our customers to meet their ongoing regulatory compliance and continuous monitoring requirements. This role requires a blend of high-level technical execution and administrative coordination to ensure all long-term contractual milestones and security standards are met.Candidates should be able to:Tactfully and courteously interface with customers in order to build strong relationshipsCoordinate activities to ensure compliance to all contractual requirementsApply security updates including patching, custom GPO’s and creating/running scriptsPerform remediation and mitigation planning and implementationPrepare documentation and artifacts for customers as requiredAnalyze and document events in a clear and concise mannerDemonstrate a self-starter mindset, assuming responsibility and remaining adaptive, flexible, and resourceful in a results-oriented environmentManage multiple tasks concurrently using strong organizational skills and attention to detailAdditional Requirements:Strong knowledge of IT Systems including Windows and UNIX platformsSolid experience with Information Technology Systems, communication networks, and network security conceptsUnderstanding of Active Directory and Group PoliciesKnowledge of firewalls and router access control listsFamiliarity with DoD auditing and scanning techniquesPossesses relevant technical or cyber certifications (preferred): Security+, Network+, CISM, etc.Preferred location: San Diego (Southern California, West Coast, Western US)Scripting experience is a plusRF experience and/or knowledge is a plusCandidate Requirements: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s)#LI-CC1Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 USDConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
