Department:ICE | PTSL OPC PharmacistsDepartment's Website:Summary of Job Duties:As a pharmacist, I work under minimal supervision to assess, prepare, dispense, and assist in coordinating all day-to-day dispensing functions of the pharmacy in a timely and accurate manner. The pharmacist will use their knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment through reviewing orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy. They will evaluate appropriateness of dose, route, and formulation, allergies, medication interactions, monitoring, etc. The pharmacist will have frequent communication with other healthcare professionals as a drug information resource and provide educational information to ensure great patient care. They will report adverse drug events and medication safety events. They will document interventions in the medical record. The pharmacist will work as a team member to efficiently and accurately perform day-to-day work, along with any additional tasks or projects to help achieve departmental goals.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy plus 1 year of experience working as a pharmacist (or pharmacy intern) in a retail or hospital setting.
