In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the efficient production of highly specialized electromechanical sensors and products by troubleshooting complex technical issues, improving manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. If you're eager to solve complex challenges, drive process efficiencies, and become a champion of innovation in aerospace engineering, this role is for you!What You Will Do Process Optimization & Troubleshooting – Identify, analyze, and resolve production process issues related to tooling, materials, equipment, and workflow inefficiencies. Continuously drive improvements in yield, quality, cost, schedule, and productivity using Six Sigma, CORE, and other quality toolsManufacturing Support & Equipment Management – Develop and maintain tooling for new and existing products, recommend and implement new manufacturing technologies, and support Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) for specialized equipment such as Laser Weld and Digital X-ray systemsProduction & Data Management – Develop instructions, oversee SAP Work Orders, Routings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Conduct process measurements throughout production stages using SPC, Gage R&R, and other analytical tools to maintain control over key variablesFailure Analysis, Compliance & Ergonomics – Perform electro-mechanical failure analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve production issues. Develop RCCA and failure analysis reports to support business health metrics. Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) standards while actively conducting ergonomic (ERGO) mitigation activities to improve workplace safety and efficiencyProcess Documentation, Validation & Engineering Support – Develop, maintain and update process documentation to reflect configuration changes and ensure accuracy. Conduct validation activities and generate technical reports to support process improvements and compliance to internal and customer Configuration Control Boards. Assist in implementing design and quality engineering changes, ensuring alignment with customer requirements. Support capital expenditure research and justification, while also facilitating customer-facing communication regarding process modifications and enhancementsFacility Layout & Continuous Improvement – Contribute to the design and layout of machinery within the plant to improve efficiency and workflow.
