Network Designer (Mid-Level or Senior)Company:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Network Designer (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in El Segundo, CA; Huntington Beach, CA; or Seal Beach, CA.  The Network Designer will act as a working lead who will be planning and assessing program requirements while integrating activities of other employees to accomplish program objectives. You will be responsible for multiple programs in Seal Beach and Huntington Beach, CA.Position Responsibilities:Act as a working lead planning and assessing program requirements while integrating activities of other employees to accomplish program objectivesManage the scope of work for program activities and interaction with connected sites and other programsProject management for multiple activities and prioritization as necessaryIdentify resources needed for successful accomplishmentNetwork Design, equipment procurement, equipment configuration and installation, cable and wire design and implementation, network break-fix, security plan integration, equipment decommission and surplus, capital/expense planning to ensure that the programs have a secure communications network to perform program development and execution In support of program customerInclude, but not limited to, hardware and software support to Secure Network, Secure Voice and other non-standard system integrationInclude support to security activities such as United States (US) government Risk Management Framework (RMF) Compliance, Security Evaluation Checklists, device sanitization, contamination cleanup, and support to the management of System Security PlansDevelop and maintain strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders and peersExercise critical thinking and innovative problem solvingAct as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the teamCapable of effectively triaging and de-escalating issues with impacted partiesDevelop and execute project and process plans to implement policies and proceduresDemonstrate the Boeing Behaviors in a deliberate and observable wayBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years3+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & IOS implementations3+ years of experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)3+ years of experience utilizing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network protocolsAbility to travel 10% of the timePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Top Secret security clearance with CI PolygraphExperience with Palo Alto next generation firewall systems, network monitoring systems, and AAA/RADIUS/TACACS+Experience with EncryptorsExperience with DNS/DHCP/IPAMExperience with team leadershipDepartment of Defense (DoD) 8570 certification (Security+ preferred)CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco CertificationConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
