You manage check-in, verify accurate records and demographics, and schedule future appointments—helping ensure a smooth start to each patient’s rehabilitation journey.Key Position Details:Position will work in Ramsey and Elk River.625 FTE (50 hours every 2 week pay period)Monday - 645a -515p (Ramsey) Wednesday - 715a - 5p (Elk River), and Friday 715a - 1p (Elk River)Various shift length, day/eveningNo weekend rotationJob Description:First point of contact for patients or clients receiving services in the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. Ensuring the check-in process, department records and demographic information is complete and accurate. Schedules appointments for future visits.Principle ResponsibilitiesSchedulingSchedules and/or reschedules patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests and other related appointments.Enters all scheduling documentation in the electronic medical record.Registers patients, verifies insurance and obtains prior authorizations as needed.Creates, deletes and modifies schedule versions and calendars to reflect changes in Therapist schedules.Arranges interpreter services for patients as needed.Administrative department supportProvides department reception, patient check-in and telephone coverage, routing messages accordingly.Organizes and maintains department records, manuals and patient education materials.Participates in completion of patient data reporting requirements and compliance with regulatory standards.Creates and maintains all training materials for new and current employees.Assists physicians with reimbursements/expense reports, physician credentialing, charge capture and medical records.Provide department supportMaintains governmental payor logs, including faxing.Updates patient charts.Assists department with sending email communication related to initial patient assessments.Chart preparationAnalyzes patient records to determine if outside documents are needed.Contacts document source, obtains records, scans and index into the electronic medical record.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMust be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job descriptionPreferred Qualifications High school diploma or GEDCustomer service experience1+ years scheduling experience in a healthcare settingExperience with EPIC1+ years in person customer serviceExperience working with patientsPhysical DemandsSedentary:Lifting weight up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequentlyPay RangePay Range: $22.04 to $30.01 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
