Job Description SummaryThis role will provide HR support for the Leadership Team and employees (hourly and salaried) of GE Aerospace’s Grand Rapids manufacturing facility. They will provide support on organizational and employee matters, as well as coaching, HR process expertise and other general HR activities. They will build strong relationships with all levels of the organization in order to drive cultural initiatives and execute business objectives.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesPartner with all levels of Management to drive business objectives in a Union environmentPartner with site HR Leader to execute site specific HR strategies and drive cultural initiatives and transformation, including Lean fundamentalsFirst point of contact for employees and managersProvide day-to-day Labor Relations support for the location including, contract interpretation, workplace investigations, grievance administration, etc.Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own fieldLead key HR processes including supervisor training, onboarding, employee development, etcPartner with Union Leadership to drive positive changeCommunicates complex messages clearly and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different perspectiveUtilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisionsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience)Employee Relations experience in a Manufacturing Environment 3+ years of Human Resource experience in a Unionized (manufacturing) environmentDesired CharacteristicsDemonstrated ability to work in a demanding and changing environment, team-oriented culture, see through complexity and ambiguity, energize a team/client and strategically promote an inclusive and diverse workforce Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels with a strong customer service focusStrong experience in Labor RelationsDemonstrated collective bargaining experiencePassion for innovative HR solutions, process improvement, and lean mindset.Strong oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsCapable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously and executing to completionSound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirementsBachelor’s degree or greater preferredThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
