YRTC-K serves male youth between the ages of 14 and just before the age of 19. All youth committed to the facility are adjudicated (ordered) by the court, committed until the age of 19 or till they complete the programming Job Responsibilities:The OJS Compliance Technician supports the Office of Juvenile Services (OJS) Compliance Team within the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This position provides administrative, clerical, and data-entry support in a professional and detail-oriented environment.Primary ResponsibilitiesSchedule meetings, appointments, and coordinate calendars for the Compliance TeamOrder office supplies, equipment, and publications to maintain office inventoryPerform word processing and clerical functions including typing, transcribing, proofreading, formatting, and editing correspondence, reports, forms, and other documentsRecord meeting minutes and complete transcriptions/dictations as neededEnter and maintain data within agency databases and electronic record systemsVerify accuracy of entered data and organize records for processingListen to, transcribe, and document youth phone call recordings during active investigationsCollect and distribute information related to Compliance operations and supervisor requestsRespond to written inquiries and requests for information in a timely and professional mannerSort, file, retrieve, and maintain correspondence, records, reports, and legal documentation to ensure organized and secure recordkeepingAssist in preparing reports and documentation for legal requests and investigationsComplete weekly Kronos timekeeping for the Compliance TeamMonitor and assist with data entry and information management across multiple Compliance systemsMaintain confidentiality while handling sensitive and protected informationRequirements/Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Microsoft Office 365 SuiteExperience with client record systems and data-entry platformsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and process large amounts of informationAbility to follow detailed instructions in a professional settingOther:Valid driver’s license requiredMust be at least 21 years old to work with youth located at the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center (YRTC)Schedule:Monday – Friday8am-4pm (0800-1600)Compensation:Starting pay is $15.00/hour plus a $3.00/hour facility differential. Knowledge of:Office and clerical support practices and proceduresFiling systems, record keeping, bookkeeping, and mail distribution methodsComputer operations and standard office software and hardware applicationsAgency operations, policies, procedures, and work unit guidelinesOffice terminology and functions related to the agency and assigned work unitGrammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization to identify and correct errorsManual and electronic file maintenance and records management proceduresAbility to:Organize, code, sort, file, and retrieve records using established filing systemsIdentify similarities, differences, and discrepancies within data and recordsCommunicate effectively in person, by phone, and through emailInteract professionally with supervisors, coworkers, agency staff, customers, and visitorsUnderstand and apply verbal and written instructionsPerform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractionsReview and correct incomplete or inaccurate records and documentsMaintain confidentiality when handling sensitive informationOperate standard office equipment and computer systemsLearn and explain agency procedures, policies, and office operationsApply established office support policies, sta
